Working on a paper cut is the most satisfying experience for me and the cutting out is of course great fun. Sometimes I don’t want it to end but then I remind myself that there is lots more coming!
Next is a big piece. I received a bed spread with gorgeous, rich indian design on it and this promoted me to do something in this vein.
So I took a photo of Cassandra, my
cat, and decided to place her on such a design. I have the idea in my head, but if it is going to work out will only be known once the cutout is done.
The design is done on white paper, but the cutout is black, so keeping in mind what is going to be cut out and what remains is a challenge, although it is starting to more naturally after seven of them!
